WHERE ARE THE DEAD?

Jesus said, "In My Father's house are many mansions... I go to prepare a place for you.   And...I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. Jn.14:2-3

"No mere man has ever seen, heard or even imagined what wonderful things God has ready for those who love the Lord." 1 Cor.2:9-LB

"By faith Abraham…looked for a city...whose builder and maker is God. -- That wondrous city…was filled with the glory of God, and flashed and glowed like a precious gem, crystal clear like jasper. The angel… measured it... as wide as it was long --1,500 miles each way. Then he measured the walls…216 feet across. -- The city itself was pure, transparent gold like glass! The wall was made of jasper, and was built on twelve layers of foundation stones inlaid with gems:…The twelve gates were made of pearls--each gate from a single pearl! And the main street was pure, transparent gold, like glass." -Heb.11:8-10; Rev.21:10-21-LB;
"Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne…down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month… No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city." -Rev.22:1-3-NIV
"God himself will be among them. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain. All of that has gone forever.'' -Rev.21:3-4-LB
Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. Rev.22:14
"Our homeland is in heaven, where our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ is... When he comes back he will take these dying bodies of ours and change them into glorious bodies like his own... Phil.3:20-21-LB
(Jesus was known by his VOICE, MANNER, AND APPEARANCE. Just so we will know our loved ones. Mary recognized Jesus by his voice. Two people knew it was Jesus by his manners: - "He was known to them in the breaking of bread." Lu.24:35; and then his disciples believed because they saw him alive.
"Look at my hands! Look at my feet! You can see that it is I, myself! Touch me and make sure that I am not a ghost!... He held out his hands for them to see [the marks of the nails], and showed them [the wounds in] his feet. Still they stood there undecided, filled with joy and doubt. Then he asked them, "Do you have anything here to eat?" They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he ate it as they watched! Lu.24:39-43-LB
(Even as Jesus was known, we will know our loved ones by their voice, their mannerisms and their appearance. In fact we will know others better in heaven than we do now. "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part but then I shall know just as I also am known." 1 Cor.13:12
"In that day the wolf and the lamb will lie down together, and the leopard and goats will be at peace. Calves and fat cattle will be safe among lions, and a little child shall lead them all." Isa.11:6-LB
